About the event
Brengman Brothers winemaker Robert Brengman and cellar assistant Ryan Tompke have developed the wine program to showcase the Leelanau terroir with an old-world spirit that, through time, becomes the benchmark for the region. The focus and consistency of the program is showing results in the competition arena with several best of show, double gold, and gold medals based on what the judges taste and score.
The team has grown skeptical with the direction of the medal-winning-wines type of competitions, so we’re excited to announce our very own blind tasting event called “Blind Tasting Thursdays” to take place under the tent throughout the Summer. Each “BT–Thursdays” event will focus on one grape variety by tasting six wines set in similar categories such as comparable in prestige or price and the reputation of the region or producer. The benchmark in each tasting will be the same-grape wine style from the Brengman Brothers cellar. The process is to take five to ten minutes of private analysis for each wine. Tasting and crib sheets will be provided for scoring. Tally of the scores will be reveled at the end and discussion of the wines will take place while sharing food from the small plate menu designed by Chef JJ specifically paired with the featured wine style.
Cost per person $40 for member / $50 for non-members,
limited to 12 to 24 attendees?
