Summertime Oyster Social
Robert always said you should eat oysters only in months that contain the letter 'R'. But Robert is working off of old intel. We found two amazing oysters that are becoming a summer season favorite.

About the event
Saturday, July 8 is a non-wedding day at Brengman Brothers tasting room so we’re bringing back the Oyster Social for a Summertime gig. Thank you, modern oyster farmer, for learning how to grow and ship deliciously shootable species that don't taste gross in warm weather. So, all you Oyster Social groupies, plan on side-stepping the Cherry Fest crazies and come hang out under the tent and watch Robert shuck. Here’s the menu for the day;
OYSTERS on the half shell $9.00 Three / $17.00 Six / $29 Dozen
Malpeque Prince Edward Island, Canada
Oysters near Prince Edward Island spend the winter under ice—that's why in January you
won't see many Canadian oysters on menus. But one man's frigid, unpleasant winter is
another, non-Canadian man's succulent, bracingly salty summer oyster.
Kumamoto West Coast
Robert says the flavors of West Coast oysters can blend together, but the Kumamoto stands
out. The tiny morsel inside comes with “a little hint of cucumber and a little hint of melon,” he
says. “There's no oyster that's like a Kumamoto.”
BRENGMAN-STYLE CRAB CAKES
$15.00 for Three Crab Cakes
If you like Maryland crab cakes, you will love this classic recipe featuring fresh
lump crab-meat that is seasoned with OLD BAY.
